Calming The Mind This Weekend

The weekend is here and the cold weather is joining us. Why not keep the children entertained with some stay at home yoga poses?

Yoga is growing in popularity in the U.S. as a complimentary therapy for children with special needs and autism. With rising numbers of schools participating in innovative programs, which are cropping up around the country.

Yoga is extremely effective for children living in cities with autism because it helps children understand the notion of space and calmness, mindfulness and balance. It also encourages the children to center themselves, whilst engaging them with forms of shapes and breathing.

It’s also a great way of offering support and routine as generally most specialized Yoga will develop effective classes that use patterns and rhymes.

Shema Kolainu understands the importance of exercise and offering workshops and classes that helps to strengthen the mind and the body of each little one at a school. Our gym and exercise classes are a favorite amongst our friends here at Shema Kolainu and yoga will eventually become part of our regular activities.
